EMPLOYMENT
Production Manager
Company One Theatre is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the organization as the Production Manager. This is a full-time staff position (40 hours/week), working in a hybrid arrangement (in-person and remote) with a combination of daytime and evening work hours.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all company production staff and production processes, including but not limited to scheduling, contracting, budgeting etc.
- Facilitate proper and timely communication surrounding productions
- Hire production staff & designers alongside Artistic Producer
- Manage contracting & payroll process for production teams
- Ensure production deadlines and budgets are met
- Manage and coordinate the necessary scheduling, personnel, and equipment for special events (e.g. fundraisers, new play readings, etc.)
- Maintain Company One Theatre’s high standards for technical and artistic work and community care
- Foster positive, respectful relationships with staff members and artists in accordance with the Company’s values and culture
- Attend weekly department and staff meetings
Qualifications
- Previous experience in production management for theatre preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and Google Platforms
- Familiarity with VectorWorks, Lightwright and QLab or similar
- Working knowledge of all areas of technical theater production- lighting, scenic construction, sound, and rigging
- Familiarity with every role within a Production Team and standard theater production workflow
- Valid Driver’s license and ability to drive box trucks
- Ability to work at height on either ladder or lift- up to 20ft
- Ability to lift and carry weights of over 50lbs
- Budgeting experience
- Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, and/or carpentry equipment a plus
- Ability to work a flexible and variable schedule depending on organizational events and needs, possible weekend and evening hours
- Passion for Company One Theatre’s mission, stakeholders and programming

Compensation & Benefits
$50,000 annually. Hybrid work schedule, Health Insurance Stipend, Open Vacation Time, Paid Sick Time and holidays.
